THE PLOT:

Crooked oil drillers are drilling for oil in the swamp, using cheap labor and unsafe equpment, the echological damage is great, but there is a creature that is stalking the evil oil workers and killing them one by one.

A strange swamp creature local Indians call the Man-Thing, no one knows what the Man-Thing is or where it came from, but it will kill all intruders in his swamp, friend or foe alike.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

What the hell is that "No one knows who he is or where he comes from"? Everyone know who he is, he was a scientist trying to invent a way to make the human race immune to biological weapons, when he was resigned to SHIELD's super soldier program and when he found out there were spies inside SHIELD, he destroyed his notes and took the last of his formula and that was the results. Duh, but this crapper he's just a mindless monster that kills friend and foe alike. Don't care who's in his swamp, if they didn't want Swamp Thing comparisons, they should have created MAN-THING to start with. I put the blame squarely on the one person that screwed up and made changes to many Marvel comic adaptations that didn't need changes, Avi Arad. Stick to the business of selling comics that's why Stan hired you, leave creative things like movies to Stan and people who are creative. This movie is worse then Daredevil and up to this point was the worst Marvel comic movie, now this takes it's place and DAREDEVIL has to move down to number 2, I give it THE CRAP-O-LANTERN!

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

Crap is an understandment, this is pure unrefined, uncut bulls***! They changed everything, his orgin, his attidute, his face, that's right. They even changed his appearence, slighly, he had like plant dreddlocks and a trunk. If you are a fan of the MAN-THING comics and you haven't thing this trainwreck of a movie, then avoid at all cost. It's nothing like the comic you enjoy. I do give it, THE CRAP-O-LANTERN!

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CREATURE DESIGN (Was cool but not anywhere close to the comic.)
+ CGI EFFECTS (They were impressive.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- CHANGES (They changed everything, obviouly Avi Arad doesn't know the concept of staying fateful to the orignal medium.)
- MINDLESS MONSTER (The Man-Thing was more then a mindless monster.)
- KILLING EVERYONE (What's with the killing everyone?)
- NO ORIGIN (What happened to Man-Thing's origin?)
- STORY (The story just blows, no wonder this crapper went right to video.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FANS OF THE COMIC BEWARE (They totally destroyed your comic.)
