THE PLOT:

A modeling squad makes a bee line to the Egyptian desert heading for a pyramid. But gets stuck in the desert and ends up in a unknown tomb, the head of the tomb is a murdereous graverobber.

But the hot lights reawakens the mummy and unleashes a army of flesh eating mummies and it may spell the end of the world as we know it.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

The Mummy genre is not unique but it's time tested. This low budget loser from the 1980's is just awful and that's being kind. It takes forever to get going and when it does it doesn't make any sense. Hot lights re-animates the dead, I think not. I can't call the characters two dimensional, because that would be considered an improvement. The gooey mummy sucks the big time, and what's up with the man eating mummy. Zombies eat human flesh, Mummies crush people. The effects are pretty good but that alone cannot save this waste of film. The ending is typical of the time period, but I can't stand the movie has a whole. I must give it THE CRAP-O-LANTERN.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

Zedd's review was creul, nasty and just mean. But honestly I think he's being too generous. This pile of living puke should be burned along with the director and the writer. I don't mean to be mean but this garbage deserves nothing more then the CRAP-O-LANTERN!

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ EFFECTS (The gore effects are pretty good.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- CREATURE EFFECTS (Gooey mummies don't work.)
- CHARACTERS (The characters are poorly written and annoying.)
- FLESH EATING MUMMIES (What's up with that?)

...AND FINALLY...

- HOT LIGHTS ANIMATION (How the hell can hot lights cause a mummy come back to life, that makes no sense.)
