THE PLOT:

A small college in an isolated area has been overridden with zombies, the cause is a scientist who is working with a zombie from another outbreak. His goal to cure death, he murders a co-ed and injects her with his formula. Which starts the outbreak.

Now a crack commando team who are veterans in dealing with Zombies are out to find the first zombie in order to find a cure for zombism. But it seems like a hopless cause.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

I'm sorry, but they did leave the impression that these commandos fought zombies before. But they sure didn't act like they even seen a zombie before. Jumping and turning their backs on them like amateurs. Second, the characters are pretty badly written. The actors did the best they could with what was given, I blame bad writing and bad directing. Lastly and here is where the spoiler warnings are highest. They loose the sample twice and the girl Jennifer Holland doesn't know if she's been bit or not. How stupid is that? As much as it hurts to be bitten, one would think you would know, plus gallons of blood leaking from your body is a good clue. Dumb, the first movie had it's flaws but it has re-watchablity, unlike this disaster of a movie, which I could barely get through once. I give the HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2: NO GUTS, ALL STUPIDITY THE CRAP-O-LANTERN

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I couldn't agree more, this has got to be the worse sequel in the history of sequels and that is bloody well saying something, because there are bad sequels out there. The characters are so annoying, slimy and unlikable, you don't care if the zombies get them or not and that's not the right thing for a movie. If you don't care for the characters enough to worry about if they live or die, then the movie is an utter failure from the start and one would think for a mission this important. To find the cure for being a zombie they would send more then what was it six to eight soldiers and one doctor. Which was up against a college full of zombies, outnumered 100 to 1 the mission was doomed to faillure right out of the freakin' gate. I pray if they do make a part 3 and this point I really doubt it, it's better then is crapper. I give it THE CRAP-O-LANTERN as well.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ GOOD EFFECTS (The zombies does look impressive.)
+ ACTING (The cast did what they could with what was given to them.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- CHARACTERS (The cahracters are badly written and shallow. You don't care if they live or die.)
- PROFESSIONALS (You think being professionals zombie fighters they would know the pattern of the zombie. That some zombies still do the things that they were doing in life. Plus, they would turn their backs on zombies. Some pros.)
- OUTNUMBERED MUCH? (One would think they would send the whole bleeding army to get this cure, not just eight soldiers.)
- CLIMAX (Not only did they fail to retrieve the sample from Zombie 1 not once but twice. Everyone but two is killed and or zombified. But the Doctor doesn't know if she was bit or not. Hello, how stupid is that.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you liked the first movie, then don't bother with this mess of a continuation.)
